Frozen 2, Link Perdido e Netflix estão chegando com tudo! A Associação Internacional de Filmes de Animação revelou os indicados para a 47ª edição do Annie Awards, considerado o "Oscar da animação".
Os dois longas-metragens citados — Frozen 2 e Link Perdido — lideram a lista, com oito indicações cada. Além deles, destacam-se Toy Story 4, Como Treinar o seu Dragão 3, Abominável e produções da Netflix, como Klaus, I Lost My Body e Carmen Sandiego. Esta é a primeira vez que o serviço de streaming concorre à premiação, e já faturou 39 indicações entre filmes e séries.
Enquanto as maiores esnobadas aconteceram em categorias individuais — como Toy Story 4 e Como Treinar o seu Dragão 3 não terem aparecido na categoria de direção; Link Perdido não garantir uma indicação em roteiro, e Frozen 2 estar fora de edição; uma ausência foi notada: O Rei Leão. Muitas pessoas estavam se questionando como a animação computadorizada seria considerada na premiação. Não foi divulgado como a Disney teria indicado o filme, no entanto, a produção não entrou nem nas categorias de animação nem de live-action.
