The series starts off by making its proposal clear — no beating around the bush, the theme is set right from the first episode. It’s impossible not to think of Di4ries (2023), as there’s an obvious connection between the two productions. Here, however, the delivery is more straightforward and well-executed.
Since it’s aimed at audiences around 10 years old (rated TV-PG 10), it’s clear that the show really targets this age group — but it also manages to keep slightly older teens engaged. Unlike many current “teen” series that often feel too childish, Riv4lidades strikes an interesting balance: about 70% of the audience will certainly be kids, but the rest can still enjoy it without feeling like they’re watching something silly.
One of the strongest points lies in the setting. Filmed in Pisa and set in Italy, the series makes excellent use of its locations. The school and urban environments are well explored, and the cinematography blends perfectly with them. The work of the set designer and camera direction really deserves praise: everything comes together naturally and convincingly, reinforcing the show’s identity.
The cast also stands out: the actors convey a real closeness, almost as if they were friends off-screen. This on-screen chemistry gives a sense of authenticity that Di4ries didn’t quite achieve.
As for the soundtrack, there are two aspects worth mentioning. First, the original score, which is very good and sets the right tone for each scene. Second, the musical element connected to the characters — the boys’ band. Even knowing that they’re not always actually playing, the performance is convincing and well integrated into the narrative. This part reminded me a lot of another notable Netflix production that left a big mark on many teenagers (a very interesting and nostalgic parallel).
I started watching because I had absolutely nothing better to do. I thought it wouldn’t grab me, especially given the style and synopsis, but I was surprised. The result is a fun, consistent series that proves even with a low age rating, there can be serious and well-structured work.

Eu achei ele muito bom, além de que ele seja do mesmo universo de di4ri, é uma das séries italianas melhores do mundo, ela é perfeita!!!!
