Esnobado no Oscar, o drama 120 Batimentos Por Minuto mostrou sua força em casa, afirmando-se como o grande vitorioso do César 2018, organizado pela Academia das Artes e Técnicas do Cinema e entregue ontem em Paris. Das treze indicações que tinha, o longa sobre um grupo de ativistas dedicados à prevenção e tratamento da AIDS ganhou seis, inclusive o principal prêmio da noite: melhor filme.
Comandada por Manu Payet, a cerimônia teve belas homenagens a ícones falecidos recentemente como Jeanne Moreau, Danielle Darrieux, Johnny Hallyday e Jean Rochefort, e Penélope Cruz bastante emocionada ao receber um troféu pelo conjunto da obra. Marion Cotillard e Pedro Almodóvar apresentaram a honraria à estrela espanhola.
La La Land e Dunkirk perderam em filme estrangeiro e curiosamente entre os documentários Eu Não Sou Seu Negro derrotou Visages, Villages, que pode render a Agnes Varda seu segundo careca dourado em menos de um ano - ela recebeu um Oscar honorário meses atrás.
Grande parte dos presentes usou na roupa um laço branco em nome do #MaintenantOnAgit, movimento semelhante ao Time's Up hollywoodiano, que pretende arrecadar fundos para a luta contra o assédio e o abuso sexual na indústria.
